Member federations affiliated to IFC and geographically situated on the same continent may form Continental Federations which will be recognised by IFC.
IFC currently recognises the following Continental Federations;
- Asian Federation of Cheerleading (AFC) (Asia)
- European Cheerleading Association (ECA) (Europe)
- Pan-American Federation of Cheerleading (PFC) (Pan-America)
Each of the recognised Continental Federations have a number of rights and duties, including the following;
- Comply with and enforce compliance with the IFC statutes, regulations and decisions.
- Cooperate with IFC in all matters relating to the organisation of international competitions and Cheerleading in general.
- Organise its own international competitions, particularly youth competitions.
- Nominate eligible delegates as the Continental Federations’ representative in the Executive Committee for the Annual General Meeting to elect.
- Train instructional staff, coaches, judges and other necessary officials.
- To have committees similar to those of IFC.
