The IFC recognises a number of open and invitation cheerleading competitions organised by members around the world using IFC rules and regulations.

Ocean Cheerleading Championship

Host: Chinese Taipei
Location: Kaohsiung
Frequency: Annual

Held annually in Kaohsiung, the Ocean Cheerleading Championship welcomes teams from the region to compete in a friendly, development‑focused international setting. The event supports athlete growth and provides valuable experience with international judging standards.


Asian-Thailand Cheerleading Invitational

Host: Thailand
Location: Bangkok
Years Active: 2009–2012

The Asian-Thailand Cheerleading Invitational was held annually in Bangkok between 2009 and 2012. Although established primarily as a regional invitational, the event welcomed participating teams from both Asia and other regions, further contributing to international exchange and development within the sport. Although no longer active, it remains part of the IFC’s historical portfolio of recognised events.


Cheerleading Asia International Open Championships

Host: Japan
Location: Tokyo
Years Active: 2007–2019

Held at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, the Cheerleading Asia International Open Championships operated from 2007 to 2019 and became one of the major international cheerleading events in Asia. Although established as a regional open competition, it regularly welcomed teams from outside Asia and provided a high‑level competitive environment under IFC rules. The event concluded following the COVID‑19 pandemic and other organisational factors, and its role has since been continued through the CJOC, held on an irregular schedule from 2025 onward.
